PLUSH YOURSELF CONTEST!!!! I decided that I'm going to throw myself a little contest. The rules are simple - simply make a plush (it doesn't matter if it's fabric, knitted, or crochet) that somehow represents you. It can look jsut like you, be a fursona, or whatever. As long as it represents you, it counts!!!
HOW TO ENTER 1. Send me a note with PLUSH YOURSELF ENTRY as the title
2. I will put a link up in my journal.
3. Include in the note a description on how the entry represents you and why you plushed the things you did. Example = the plush self is wearing a skirt because you really like wearing skirts.
RULES 1. It must be a plushed item of some sort.
2. It must be made by you and somehow represents you.
3. An entry does not have to be new. As long as it is a plush of you, it's eligible for the contest.
4. Please include a description of how the plush represents you (especially if it is a fursona, ect) in your note.

3) Went to one of the biggest libraries I've ever seen!
4) Alan Jackson is pretty amazing, Midnight in Montgomery is defiantely one of his best
2) Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. I love his romantic interpretation of history (his lengthy description of why Napoleon lost at Waterloo, after many, many pages discussing various historians' opinions on the matter, cumulates in this final thought: Napoleon got too arrogant and annoyed God. ha! You just don't get historical interpretation like that anymore!!) I also love the depth of his characters, and the themes of justice, and grace, and the tensions between the two.
Fav movie = Thin Red Line. It's so beautiful, it makes me cry. Beautiful in every aspect of the film... characters, voice, music, editing, cinematography, acting, ... it's all just perfect. I love war stories. This one isn't neat and tidy, but Terrence Mallack paints a portrait of a world at war with itself before man ever steps foot on it. And this darkness vs light plays out at every level. There's one line where the narrator asks, "Who are you?" to the dark force that seems to choke the life out of the light. And yet he believes that it's a dark force fighting a futile battle--they're not equal and opposite forces at all. The light will win in the end. I dunno. I guess it fits my world view, and most movies don't.
3) Over this past weekend I went to Cedar Rapids Iowa to gut houses and do relief work with the organization I worked for in New Orleans. I want to go baaaaaaaack!!
4) Hmmm. Of all time? Pink Floyd. The Cure. Live.... But right now I'm loving Coldplay's new one. And MuteMath's. And Keane...
